Auction How To

All fundraising activity for the Gala is managed using OneCause (formerly BidPal). Bidding for silent auction items will be managed through the OneCause mobile web interface. Payments for live auction items will managed through OneCause as well.

OneCause uses a mobile web interface that participants can access through their smartphones at the event.  A link to this interface will be sent to you after you register.  Volunteers will be on site at the gala to assist you with any trouble you may have getting setup.

Auction Policy

The live and silent auctions are our biggest means for fundraising.  To make the process run smoothly, we kindly ask each bidder to agree to our auction rules.  You will be asked to acknowledge your agreement to these rules in order to register with our online bidding program One Cause (formerly: Bidpal).

All sales will be final, with no exchanges or refunds unless otherwise noted.  All items are sold “as is”.

The Seacliff PTA has attempted to describe and catalog items correctly, but cannot warrant nor represent, and in no event shall be responsible for the correctness or descriptions, genuineness, authorship, provenance, or condition of the items.  No statement made in this catalog, in One Cause (formerly: Bidpal), or orally at the auction or elsewhere, shall be deemed such a warranty, representation, or assumption of liability.

The auction item value listed is an estimate of the fair market value.  Items have not been appraised unless so noted.  The amount you pay above this fair market value estimate is normally tax deductible as a charitable contribution.  Please consult your tax adviser to clarify amount of deduction.

Payment for items purchased must be made in full on the night of the auction through One Cause (formerly: BidPal).  Following payments, you may pick up your purchases in the checkout area.

Auction item winners must pick up all items the night of the auction, unless special arrangements are made.

Seacliff PTA reserves the right to add or withdraw items without notice, to or from the auction.

Each person bidding assumes all risks and hazards related to the auction and items obtained at the auction.  Each bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability arising indirection from the Seacliff PTA, its elected and appointed officials and members, the auctioneer(s), the auction company and its agents and employees, the event organizers, sponsors, and/or volunteers connected with the auction.

All bidders must register with One Cause (formerly: Bidpal) to participate in the live and silent auctions.

Thank you and happy bidding!
